Hello all,

I had an opportunity to attend a TGA Seminar a few weeks ago which I found extremely informative. For those of you who do not know much about the TGACC (Therapeutic Goods Code Council), I would suggest you go to this link: - http://www.tgacc.com.au



In Australia all advertisements and generic information published about therapeutic goods directed to consumers must comply with special legal requirements. For this purpose there are two main categories of therapeutic goods:

• healthcare products or medicines which can be obtained from a pharmacy, health food store or supermarket without obtaining a prescription from a doctor or healthcare professional; and
• medicines which are available from a pharmacist on prescription only from a healthcare professional.

Only those products which are available without prescription may be advertised to the general public. These include non-prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines like cough and cold remedies and painkillers as well as complementary healthcare products like vitamins, minerals, herbals, homeopathy and aromatherapy products. Advertisements in radio, television, cinema, newspapers, magazines and high impact outdoor advertising, require formal approval before they can be broadcast, exhibited, published or displayed. Advertisements in newspapers and magazines are given an approval number which must be displayed.

The Codes Council’s key responsibilities are to:

• ensure that the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code is current, relevant and reflects community values and standards (the Code is discussed in more detail below);
• ensure a level playing field for all advertisers

For all advertising, you will need to follow the guidelines that are set out for all Therapeutic Goods Listed products. You may choose to use our regulatory board – Regulatory Concepts in Castle Hill for your advertising or you may opt to go through the procedures within the TGA. Remember that all our TGA products have an AUST L number on them. Any product that does not have it will either be a food for e.g. Plant Derived Minerals or a cosmetic for e.g. Invision Skin Enhancer.

The big buzz news last month was the change of our company name globally to YOUNGEVITY. This is such a futuristic move that will prove invaluable for all countries in the years ahead. Our own banner here will remain as Australian Longevity for a couple of months yet as the legal requirements are being signed off. When we officially change our name here to Youngevity you will be advised. In the meantime, continue as normal (as best you can), knowing that such a major change requires due diligence on the company's part. Please hold off printing any new documentation or business cards until you get the green light from our Castle Hill Office.

On the home front here at Head Office we are pleased to introduce Kristina Capizzi to you all. Kristina has been given the role of Team Leader, Customer Services, and replaces Tia Paenui who sadly after 3 years has made the decision to spread her wings in a new direction. I'm certain you will enjoy speaking with Kristina, she is a real go-getter and her telephone 'smile' is wonderful to hear! Kristina was already one of our customer representatives and many of you have already spoken to (or met) her at our very first convention last year where she did an outstanding job.

As we enter the winter months (and tax return time!) we all need to prepare for the inevitable onslaught of viruses, colds and flu in our society. And or course there is no better time to be sharing the amazing Australian Longevity products with as many people as you can. It is so important to build up our immune systems so we don't get ravaged by preventable illnesses that rob us of energy and more importantly, our valuable time. It's time to speak up, speak out and step out of your comfort zones!!

Networking can be such fun, think of all the new and exciting people you meet simply by making general conversation and then naturally leading them to a purchasing decision. It really is easy to strike up a conversation with a total stranger if you unconditionally believe in (and most importantly use) the superb range of products offered within the Australian and American product line. You certainly won't change the world's health issues (or the financial state of your business!!) by keeping our products a secret - make a commitment to talk to 3 people every day and just see how quickly you can make a difference.

I am also thrilled to announce that in addition to the NSW training dates already listed on the AL website, fixed training dates for QLD and VIC are now in place for the remainder of the year. These dates are noted below and the dates and venues will be posted on the Australian Longevity website. I personally will facilitate these events (with the support of key leaders in each State) and the format for each separate date will be…….a) Information Sessions for invited prospects from 6.30-7.30pm .......and b) Business Building Workshops for distributors from 7.45-10pm. In supporting these events, you will naturally be supporting your own business growth. I encourage you all to attend (where geographically possible) and I look forward to meeting many of our distributors in my travels throughout 2006.

IMPORTANT DIARY DATE:The second Australian Longevity Conference will now be held on February 16-17, 2007 at LUNA PARK in Sydney. Careful consideration was given before moving the conference from November to a more productive time frame. Having our convention placed at the beginning of the year will strongly support the growth of your businesses. Attention Attention - Changes to the AUSTRALIAN CONFERENCE CALL

There is NO conference call this weekend due to the unavailability of a guest speaker.

Furthermore, due to the abundance of conference calls available via the USA, the Australian Conference call will be reduced to TWO CALLS PER MONTH. One to be held on the 1ST SATURDAY of each month commencing at 8.00am and the other call to be held on the 3RD WEDNESDAY of each month commencing at 8.00pm.

With this proposed change of program, we shall endeavour to implement more Practitioner guest speakers from Australia on the Wednesday evenings as the Saturday time frame does not suit their clinic hours. We shall aspire to get quality speakers either from USA or other countries for the Saturday morning call each month so stay tuned !! Email advice will be sent out prior to each Conf Call and the calls will run for approx 30 - 45 mins each time.

The guest speaker for next Saturday 1st July at 8.00am will be advised early next week, followed later with details of the Wednesday 19th July call at 8.00pm.
